FNL
This is FNL he is another one of Dan's robots much like stinger off Robot Wars. Its original name was Cocknocker but we couldn't call it that
becuase the FRA wouldn't let us. But oh well FNL is offensive enogh XD, (although i'm not too sure whether they'll let us have that!).
Me and Dan were supposed to be building both of our robots at the same time but we started building the tree house
and blowing things up and one day when I was away Dan started his robot. But I now have the parts I was waiting for
(switches on servos (the poor man's speed controller)) so I sould be able to resume building.
This is FNL standing up.
You can see the two windscreen wiper motors that power the wheels (which are taken from a three wheeled pram) sticking up. And the long 'arm'
that is the weapon. You use this weapon by driving forwards then slamming it into reverse, you end up with the force of the sudden change of
direction being transferred into the arm coming down to slam into whatever is in front of you. Alternatively you can spin around on the spot
and build up speed like a flywheel then whack into your adversery. The spike on the end of the arm is quite heavy and could do a fair bit of damage.
This is FNL in its normal driving position.
The backplate (far right of photo) it the counterweight. It is a very heavy piece of steel that helps to flip the arm through 180 degrees. It is also
useful to protect the insides from attack.
